Rhythm Kick is a rhythm based routine set to music that meets you at your current fitness level bringing you to the next stage of the journey to health.
We focus on mind-body connectedness drawing from the latest research at the National Science Foundation on the connection between mind and body. All set to music using real effective self-defense techniques derived from Traditional Muay Thai and Western Boxing. The right exercise integrates the mind and body. Join Rhythm Kick and re-connect to gain insight into how hungry, anxious or tired one might actually feel and increase your interoceptive awareness while learning practical street-proven self defense.
Dr. Jesse Bengson is a Neuroscientist who has a Ph.D. in Psychology with 20 years of research at the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health specializing in attentional focus and mind body interaction. He has been training in the fighting arts for 25 years, sparring and fighting with world class professionals and fighters including the World Champion lineage Gamache Family in Lewiston Maine, National Champion UC-Davis Boxing club with Hector Lopez, UC-Davis Judo with Sensei Harry Kendall, National Champion Downtown Boxing Club in Vallejo CA and now training with Master Ajahn Paul Metayo at Metayo Muay Thai Academy in Rohnert Park. He has receipts for all he teaches and he has put it to use in real world self-defense and in the ring. No fluff here. This is science.
